The power and the glory

Quickly! Which are the world’s 10 most powerful brands? Don’t know? But don’t worry! Here’s a ready reckoner for you, compiled recently by a survey conducted by Millward Brown’s BrandZ index. The world’s number one brand is Google, that has a brand value of $66.434 billion. Brand number two is GE – or General Electric – with a brand value that’s been estimated at $61.880 billion, followed by Microsoft that has a brand value of $54.951 billion. Coca-Cola is next, with a brand value of $44.134 billion. And at number five is: China Mobile, China’s largest mobile phone operator and the largest company registered in Hong Kong, with a brand value of $41.214 billion. The next five most valued brands globally are Marlboro, Wal-Mart, Citi, IBM and Toyota, respectively.
