Winning when playing on this board would certainly give you the added thrill. Not so much because the game was nerve-wracking but because this board holds the Guinness World Record as ‘The most expensive board game in the world’. Loaded with precious metals, this game’s got coins made of silver, silver flags & cards with gold leaf edges and replicas of Crown Jewels that are flecked with rubies, emeralds, sapphires &diamonds! All this atop a laminated game board, fitted onto a solid mahogany cabinet. That would mean some pretty penny playing for an evening out with friends.
1957 Ferrari Testarossa – 324,400,019.46 INR
A ride in this ‘beauty on wheels’ would definitely leave onlookers on the streets helplessly gawking as you cruise by. Not only because this baby is a creation of the perfectionist car maker Ferrari but also because this model happens to be the second most valuable car of the Ferrari collection after the legendary 250 GTO. Named Testarossa which when translated means ‘red head’ also went down in history when its variations known as 250 TR repeatedly won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1958, 1960 & 1961. Nothing like adding this fiery machine to your vintage collection, what say?!
Champrau d’Amour – 109,485,001.31 INR
For all you gals out, there who don’t mind spending a few extra bucks every now and then to doll yourself up, here’s a hat that you might want to try out, if you’re feeling a little extra extravagant that is! A creation by Louis Mariette, this hat has enough bling to make you squint! Encrusted completely on the surface with diamonds and platinum, this hat finds itself holding the title of 'The world’s most expensive hat' that comes along with its wicked price tag. A little too exclusive to cover your pretty heads now, isn’t it?
Mystery Masterpiece – 29,601,500.07 INR
At first glance, to mistake this pen for an intricately designed jewel would be perfectly understandable and in fact even agreeable. Christened as ‘Mystery Masterpiece', the name fits well for a creation that resembles a jewel and yet has the functions of a fountain pen. Like most masterpieces, this one by the renowned jewellery house Van Cleef & Arpels, painstakingly took 18 months to complete. The makers offer three different variations in its league, each set having 20 carats of sapphires, emeralds or rubies and touched up with nearly 840 diamonds. Just the right thing to sparkle up your writing!
